Maintenance Supervisor


POSITION SUMMARY: Supervise a staff of maintenance personnel in the conduct of planned and unplanned maintenance to support the plant manufacturing equipment, employee safety, and facility efficiency.
' Supervise team of Maintenance Technicians and support crew on designated shift.

' Prepare and execute a maintenance plan to be completed each day, including preventative maintenance completion goals.

' Provide direction, information and communication to and with maintenance staff and Engineer/Maintenance Manager daily. Conducting and participating in daily pass down/ green room meetings.

' Respond to Production group's maintenance needs in order to maximize operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.

' Verify coordination of parts and materials necessary for daily maintenance projects.

' Administer a Planned Preventative Maintenance System, utilizing the Maximo system.

' Work with Engineering/ Maintenance Manager and for line coverage.

' Work with Engineering/ Maintenance Manager to create, review, and monitor budgets.

' Act as the first management point of contact for employee issues. Provide feedback to Maintenance associates. Promote positive employee relations. Complete performance evaluations and approve KRONOS reports.

' Work with QA, Sanitation, and Production Facilitators to ensure daily checks and inspections are performed through out the plant.

' Administer work rules and procedures including GMP and safety compliance in accordance with OSHA and company policies daily. Encourage safe employee behaviors and participate in safety training as necessary.

' Work with Manufacturing and other facility personnel to maximize operational efficiencies.

' Participate in various corporate audits and assessments.

' Must be able to work any shift, hours and required days may vary.

Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred. Formal technical education and/ or experience in a related technical field. Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience and/or 2-3 years supervision in maintenance/engineering capacity.
