SERVING THE RECRUITING NEEDS OF THE FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
Summary Manage the process to develop all messages seen
by the industry and our customers, working closely with the Brand and Segment
Marketing groups to ensure consistency and maximize efficiencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage the creation and production of marketing
communications materials, advertising and public relations campaigns that meet
marketing objectives and support field sales.
Monitor all communications programs to ensure that our brands are
treated properly with respect to logo usage and trademarks.
2. Supervise a network of suppliers, as well as an
in-house Graphic Designer, resulting in the production of creative, high
quality communications programs. Suppliers include Advertising, PR and Web
agencies, printers, photographers, food stylists, media representatives,
graphics and video communications specialists.
3. Support the sales organization through the
development of materials and advertising programs on request, ensuring they
conform to pre-determined corporate and marketing goals and are consistent with
the Company’s culture.
4. Supervise the development, refreshment and
on-going maintenance of Corporate Website.
5. Organize and implement special events and trade
shows in support of the Company’s marketing strategy. (i.e.
6. Manage the recipe development & communication
process for each brand, ensuring recipes developed and used are on trend,
appropriate for the brand and for the target audience. Included are menu ideas
and recipes that are used in the Ideas Bulletins, recipe flyers, the Website,
customer communications programs, in public relations activities and at trade
shows.
Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the
tenets of “What We Stand For” and “The Basic Principles”.
Must maintain the highest
standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will
ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in
decision making.

Supervisory
Responsibilities
Directly supervises a Graphic Designer.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's
policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring,
and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
resolving problems.

Education and/or
Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from
four-year college or university; and four to ten years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret
common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal
documents. Ability to respond to common
inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the
business community. Ability to write
speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and
format. Ability to effectively present
information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical
Skills
Ability to calculate figures and
amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,
area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems
and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully,
an individual should be proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe
Acrobat, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. This individual must also be skilled in navigating the web and
understanding what it takes to maintain a successful web presence. He/she
should also have the ability to learn graphics or illustrations software as
necessary.
Other Qualifications
Ability to travel 40% of the
time.
