Director of Quality Assurance

We have an opening for an experienced food processing Quality Assurance Manager to oversee two meat processing locations. This position is responsible for directing the quality assurance staffs to meet quality and food safety goals. In addition this position is responsible for overall successful completion of quality and food safety goals insure compliance with customer and internal specifications and compliance with governmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have food processing experience (USDA preferred) with at least five years in quality assurance management.

Qualifications include:

 1. Position Purpose:

The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible to direct and supervise the Quality Assurance Departments for CTI-SSI and CTI-S&S Foods L.L.C. This person will provide technical and strategic direction to plant management. They will ensure that all customer specifications are met as well as all Government mandated programs. They will assist in the updating of company, customer and governmental programs. This individual will interface with customers on a regular basis so good communication skills are needed.

2. Principal Accountabilities:

 40%Overseeing and directing the Quality Assurance departments in all aspects of the business.

20% Manages the reviewing and monitoring of the QA departments for compliance with; company procedures, USDA, Customer specifications, HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality programs.

20% Participates in communicating with the customer, being present for customer visits and audits, investigating issues, reviewing and following up on customer complaints.

10% Provide technical and strategic direction

5% Assist R&D and Production with product development and commercialization process.
