Safety Coordinator

This position supervises and coordinates activities with food safety and sanitation programs. Responsible for duties related to sanitized checks, recordkeeping, etc. Ensures operational activities achieve and maintain compliance with applicable environmental laws and the cleaning of the equipment in the plant, chemical handling, storage, and disposal.

Minimum of three to five years of directly related experience in the food distribution and/or manufacturing industry.

A working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, food plant production and best practices, environmental regulations, food safety and sanitation methods and best practices, Hazard Analysis, Critical Control Point (HACCP), and (Material Safety Data Sheets), MSDS.

Strong oral and written communication and motivation skills. Computer skills including data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and data base applications.
